Just received this wonderful cdv by George M. Howe of Portland, ME. I like the way the elaborate backdrop in combination with the heavy drape and parlor chair add the perfect setting to the handsome young man in his Sunday Best. I am fortunate to have an example of Mr. Howe's daguerreotype work in this nice 9th plate likeness of a bearded gentleman.
